MDOT Joint Committee Report Here are some brief highlights of the Maine DOT ­ ACEC/Maine Joint Committee since the last Board meeting: New Highway Design Subcommittee has been formed and holds its first meeting with MDOT this afternoon. Kathy Kern is our Co-Chair along with subcommittee members Jeff McEwen, Kevin Ducharme and Tony Grande. Issues to be tackled include training, process improvements, and quality control of design documents. The Bridge Subcommittee continues to meet and work out various process improvement issues and develop additional training sessions (pier design). Cadd Subcommittee will be restarting its efforts on implementation of Microstation Version 8. Next meeting to be scheduled soon. RFQ/RFP Subcommittee will be reassembling to review the success of MDOT¹s recent major RFQ solicitation. Please call me with any questions. P.S.
